Energy saving measures available under the ECO scheme include Funded Boilers, Free Cavity Wall, Underfloor and Loft insulation. If you have never had central heating in your home, you may qualify for a ‘first time central heating’ grant.

The original scheme started in 2013, the current scheme, ECO3, started in late 2018 and is scheduled to run until March 2022, however funding can be pulled at any time.

While our aim is to install as many Free Boilers as possible, the fact is that some personal circumstances and/or house types, etc will not meet the criteria set out in the Energy Company Obligation.

We are committed to finding a low-cost solution for all that don’t qualify.

The Eco scheme is funded by the major energy suppliers in the UK, major is termed as having over 150,000 customers. These are currently the ‘big 6’ energy companies, British Gas, Scottish Power, N Power, EDF, SSE and E-on as well as several others such as Octopus Energy & Shell Energy.

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) is a Government backed energy efficiency scheme in the UK, it’s aim is to reduce carbon emissions and help eradicate fuel poverty. The current incarnation is ECO3 and is scheduled to run from Autumn 2018 until March 2022.

There are 2 main ways where someone may qualify for ECO:

1. Homeowners who are in receipt of a qualifying benefit – please note that grant amounts are based on Life Time Savings (LTS) and therefore to maximise the grant available we will look to add additional energy saving measures such as Loft, underfloor or cavity wall insulation if applicable.
2. Local Authority Flexible Eligibility (LA FLEX) – We have agreements with local authorities throughout the UK where we can access the ECO scheme but with much wider eligibility. In these cases homeowners may qualify without being in receipt of any benefits.

The Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme is funded by medium to large  energy suppliers, ECOPAS installers work with the obligated suppliers to introduce energy efficient measures into homes, thereby helping to tackle fuel poverty and reduce carbon emissions to assist with Government targets.
